About Anne
Anne Maranda is a registered nurse with over 30 years’ experience, specialising in mental health, aged, and palliative care. As a result, Anne understands the importance of finding meaning and purpose around major life changes and transitions.
Anne’s nurse training and experience counselling individuals was enhanced through higher education study in the Humanities (BA) and Sciences (M Sc). Anne believes awareness of the complex social, cultural and historical factors influencing peoples lives increases understanding of human behaviour.
Anne has been trained in advanced group facilitation skills and has experience in leading groups in education and clinical settings. She has also had Respecting Patient Choices – Advance Care Planning facilitation training.
Anne is an Accredited Instructor with The Birren Centre for Autobiographical Studies and went through the GAB group experience herself over an 8-week period. The GAB experience has helped her own transition to a new life stage.
